The Midfield Fire Department is comprised of 13 Certified Firefighters. There are four firefighters per shift with an average of two paramedics most of the time. Two fire trucks, each with advanced life support capabilities, are in server 2 hours a day. There is also on hand a reserve fire truck and a dour-wheel-drive service vehicle. The fire department, which is centrally located, can respond to calls within a radius of two miles. The fire department averages about 800 calls per year with a majority of those (600+) being of a medical nature. An insurance rating (ISO) of 0.4 is in place for both residential and commercial properties within the Midfield city limits.
